Day 14: The End is Here

IMG_2124.JPGAt this point we’ve been on the road for 24 hours. We were going to take our time getting home kind of like we did on the way out west. But she was fine with driving straight through. We kept each other up the entire way so it wasn’t terrible. I don’t want to be home already, especially when I didn’t have to be back for 2 more days *crying* As much as I hate Baltimore sometimes I actually felt myself appreciating it more once I got back. Not that I didn’t have the best trip of my life and see some of the best cities ever i just appreciate where I came from and know I’ll always have a home here in Baltimore, regardless of the middle fingers.

Day 13: St. Louis

Well-rested we were finally excited to get to our first stop that we would do some exploring and eat a good meal. We got to see the great archway and the old courthouse. We tried to find a great bbq spot since they’re pretty well-known for that but after having no luck we stumbled in to this run down bar/restaurant that to our surprise was a New Orleans style bar. So L was right at home. I had some of the best food *drooling again* and of course an obligatory cold Abita. It felt so good having our first real meal and not eating nachos every damn day.

Day 12: Texas & OKC

Although we were just passing through for a short period of time I can’t forget my Texas pictures. After getting through Texas we decided to stay the night in Oklahoma City. There was plenty to do here but I hadn’t had a real nights sleep the whole trip. She has, but regardless we had some catchin’ up to do. So even though we could have explored the city we found the cheapest motel to sleep in spent way too much money on sonic and slept for 15 hours and it sure felt amazing.

Day 11: Bye Cali, Hello Arizon

So we left Cali late afternoon after getting our Del Taco fix and spending two hours cleaning the egg out of my car. We stopped at some breathtaking viewpoints in California, saw some Mexicans trying to hop the border, then finally stopped for a quick break in Arizona to grab a beer. Met some of the weirdest freakin’ people at this bar holy hell. It was a local brewery and we were scolded not to stop in Albuquerque (our next stop) no matter what we do, for an hour straight.

Day 10: $H!T Show in San Diego

So here we go again. Another day where it was a complete and utter shit show and all I have to show for it are videos in my phone. I met Mike and L for brunch at Duck Dive and had 3 of some of the best $5 bloodies I’ve had in my life. Threw a couple more back when they arrived and well we were talking about getting tattoos on our road trip so we sat and thought about what we wanted for like 5 minutes and walked to the nearest shop and made them come to life. For me not knowing what the hell I wanted 5 minutes ago it sure came out amazing and symbolizes the mountains and water we went through the whole trip and my bad bitch got an arm band of 4 symbols of the trip as well.

We wanted to keep drinking and this was our last night here but it was also Sunday so Mike departed from us. The rest is a mystery. We chugged 24 oz. red bull vodka slushies’ (OMG HEAVEN) and endless pacificos. Made a million snap chat videos which got great feedback lmao and then got hungry at 1:30 am.

In-and-out closed 2 minutes early on us so we for some reason had rotten eggs in my car and L thinks it’s a good idea to egg the drive thru. She throws it across through my window completely misses and eggs the inside of my car. We then travel to del taco they’re closed too. We have 2 eggs left and are pissed off so what do we do? we egg our faces. good idea. My car is now covered in egg. This night went on for what seems like forever but we sure did go out with a bang.

Day 8: National City, PB, El Cajon

This had to of been one of my favorite days by far. We started the day out by going to the barber with Mike in the “ghetto” of San Diego and had some awesome ass Pho and Vietnamese yogurt *drooling* and then went to our favorite spot shore club with Mike and some of his friends. My guy met up with us, we ran in to Leslie’s ex and the night took a turn for the worst for a bit, met up with our other Denver friend and continued to party the night away regardless of douchebag ex boyfriend drama. We finally tried a new spot in PB out, Tavern, it was pretty cool and as the night ended we ubered back to Gavin’s house, not sure why, but we did.

So Gavin has 3 goats and lots of chickens and our drunk asses decide to attempt to ride the goats, I bust my ass, and pick up the chickens. The chickens were out of control and once again this is another night where videos only explain the hilarity of the evening. We then go inside and since everyone but me is in the military they decide it would be fun to get all of the guns out and potentially shoot things (thankfully that didn’t happen)

Day 7: Little Italy – PB

IMG_1869.JPGThis was our first day out just Leslie and I. We started by going down to Little Italy and going to Ballast Point brewery, one of my all time favorite breweries. Got a little tipsy and then drove to PB and drank our asses off at Shore Club until night time and then ended up traveling down the street to a hole in the wall called Thrusters meeting up with some dudes off tinder lol. They were cool but we were just lookin for some new faces to party with. We had an awesome day and ate a lot of awesome food. Not to mention that Jameson is always on special in San Diego, $5 can’t beat it.

Day 6: La Jolla

It’s our second day in San Diego and the weather is crappy (it was the whole trip) so we grab some food and head to the hot tub and the pool. We waited for Mike to get off and we ventured down to La Jolla Cove Beach where the seals and sea lions are always at. It was one of my favorite parts of the trip to see a different environment in Cali. They don’t have stuff like this on the East Coast. It was a pretty chill day.

Later that night I finally met back up with Gavin, my guy from Denver and we go to OB noodle house and get to spend some good time together. Leslie went to Ballast Point with “he whom shall not be named” and didn’t have the best experience. But we wont go there.

Day 5: Nevada to San Diego

Passed through Nevada and stopped in the biggest Alien store I’ve ever seen. We had to go in if you know our Alien history with our tattoos and such.

It was a quick 5 hour drive and we arrived in San Diego. We were staying with our friend Mike on the Naval Base so it was definitely a different experience than most. Our first night we checked out all of the main spots in Pacific Beach (Backyard, Shore Club, Ale House). We got a little wild but all in all it was a great first night.
